Clear cleans up with its eighth RoSPA gold medal

United Kingdom
The laundry supplier Clean was awarded the eighth RoSPA gold medal award in a row for maintaining high health and safety standards.

The prestigious annual program, run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), recognizes organizations that can demonstrate well-developed occupational health and safety management systems, a culture that knows and can identify potential hazards, and whose control is excellent at risk and very high low error rate, damage and loss.

Matt De La Bertauche, head of the Health, Safety, and Environment group at Clean, said: “I am incredibly proud of Clean's recent achievement to receive a RoSPA gold medal for the eighth time in a row. This is real proof of the talented people we have in the clean laundries.

“At Clean, security is not just an additional element of our roles, but something that is anchored in everything we do. I feel very privileged to work with a team that is committed to ensuring safe operations and creating a safe environment for their colleagues. "

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Clean continued to serve both workwear and hospitality customers who remained open to accommodate key employees. Since the lockdown restrictions were relaxed and the hospitality industry reopened, Clean has been helping its customers prepare to open their doors and adapting their service to new security and cleaning procedures.

To ensure the safety of its employees and customers, Clean has developed and implemented a number of Covid-safe measures so that the company can provide the high quality service that Clean is known for. The measures include thermal and chemical disinfection of laundry, towels and clothing during washing, socially distant delivery processes, the sterilization of laundry cages, vehicle interiors and loading areas before loading clean textile products, as well as an increase in PPE that is carried by production employees and drivers.
