Take care of the safety of all Victorians together: wear facewear in our stores
To all of our customers,
Unfortunately, the recent spread of cases in Victoria, the subsequent ban, and the facial covering statement remind us that we all continue to live with COVID-19.
As always, the safety and well-being of our customers, teams and communities remains our top priority for all Australian supermarkets.
The Victorian government has updated its recommendations on the use of facewear as follows: “The Chief Health Officer explains that people living in Melbourne and Mitchell Shire will be required to wear facewear from 11:59 PM on Wednesday, July 22, when they are at home leave. unless a legal exception applies. "
To ensure that we comply with government regulations, we expect all customers in our stores to wear facewear unless a legal exception applies to them. Masks have also become mandatory for our team members, unless they too have an exception.
In each of our stores, there are a number of measures to keep everyone safe, including social distance and improved cleaning and hygiene practices. We ask that you continue to strictly follow the social distancing guidelines, wash or disinfect your hands before entering the store, use contactless payment wherever you can. Remember not to touch your face (with or without a mask) and cough and sneeze tissue or your elbow.
Finally, it is important that you do not enter a store if you feel uncomfortable, are in mandatory isolation, or have come into contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19. All of our Victorian team members were also asked not to come to work if they felt uncomfortable.
Please continue to treat our teams with the respect and courtesy they all deserve. We thank you for your continued patience and support as we work together to protect our communities.
