Membership fees for over 140 members and brands for the LFRA are usually collected on a fiscal year basis.

"The trading conditions in our industry were very different due to COVID-19," said Philippa Kelly, CEO of LFRA.
"To make our contribution, the LFRA has decided to offer all members a free extension of their current membership by 6 months until January 1, 2021.
"I'm really proud of how retailers and landlords worked together in these uncertain times."
Large-format retailers were able to trade continuously throughout the COVID-19 pandemic due to its convenience. Consumer spending habits have changed and retailers have adapted to different trading, operating requirements and restrictions across Australia.
“Large-format retail stores have a large footprint and are often on the ground floor. Therefore, buyers and employees felt safe and at the same time kept social distance for click-and-collect or in-store purchases, ”added Ms. Kelly.
“If the restrictions are relaxed and public gatherings can resume, LFRA will again host national quarterly forums to bring the industry together. The forums underpin the unique and collaborative culture of LFRA, in which retailers, landlords, developers and service providers come together to work together for the common good of the industry. "
