United States
James Mangini, RLLD, will join the Association for Linen Management (ALM) Board of Directors in late June. Mangini is a long-time member of ALM and will succeed Rich Bott, RLLD and CLLM as elected president, while Bott will assume the role of president.

2018 For the first time in the history of the ALM, the votes for the elected president led to a tie. Mangini, senior director of sterile processing and laundry services at the Maine Medical Center, admitted Bott, director of supply chain services at Intermountain Healthcare.

Mangini has over 15 years of industry experience as head of laundry services for Maine's largest medical center, Maine Medical Center Linen Services. "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve as the elected president of ALM," said Mangini. “Our education platform is second to none and has had a huge impact on my professional growth. Today's laundry industry has never seen so many challenges. From the demand for increased efficiency to the financial stability of the providers, our industry needs competent operators to guide us through these challenges. "

Mangini is passionate about helping ALM members successfully manage the changes not only brought about by the Covid 19 pandemic, but also to ensure public safety and comfort, and we are moving through it Time. "I will work to further strengthen ALM's position as an industry leader in education and provide the information we need in our ever-evolving world," said Mangini. "My background has given me the unique position of being both a senior executive at Maine Medical and a provider of linen programs for various healthcare facilities."

Mangini attributes ALM and its educational programs to the health care industry in the textile care industry. With this understanding, he trained his customers to improve their laundry programs and reduce costs.

"I couldn't be happier with our membership decision to choose James," said Linda Fairbanks, ALM's general manager. "He has contributed immensely over the years to providing the excellent resources and training that ALM is known for through our Education Committee. He chairs the curriculum development task force and is a frequent moderator for our Laundry & Linen College."

Nicole Grubich

Nicole Grubich, RLLD, CLLM, will join the board at the end of June. Grubich is a long-time member of ALM and succeeds Shane Woodson, RLLD, as board secretary. Woodson will step down from the Association for Linen Management (ALM) Board of Directors when his term ends in late June. Woodson has served as ALM's board secretary since 2015 and has enjoyed the efforts he has made with ALM employees and other board members as the association overcomes hurdles over the years, consolidating the organization and reaffirming its value through the current Covid 19 pandemic. He will continue to serve ALM members in various roles in the coming years.

"As a member of ALM for almost 20 years, I am delighted to serve as the board secretary," said Grubich. "I am inspired by the success of my predecessors and look forward to continuing the remarkable work they have done."

Grubich is the managing director and chair of the board of the West Michigan Shared Hospital Laundry (WMSHL). She is currently a board member of the American Reusable Textile Association (ARTA). Previously, Grubich served as second vice president of the IAHTM board (International Association for Healthcare Textile Management) and head of the ALM chapter in Michigan. She was recognized by the YWCA Tribute Awards as one of the "Most Notable and Visionary Women Leaders in the Grand Rapids Community" in 2016 and was recognized as one of the most successful women leaders in the industry in the first issue of the fresh ALM magazine. During her time at WMSHL, Grubich increased his processed pounds from £ 30 million to £ 49 million.

"We are very excited to have Nicole on the board," said Linda Fairbanks, executive director of ALM. "She has been an invaluable resource in recent years and generously shared her knowledge and expertise in working groups and as a speaker at our IMPACT conference 2018."

Grubich also has two ALM certifications, the Registered Laundry and Linen Director (RLLD) and the Certified Laundry and Linen Manager, with which she can fully understand how these first-class educational opportunities benefit professionals in the textile care industry.

"I think ALM has been the driving force behind the industry’s progress in education, leadership development and research," said Grubich. “ALM puts the needs of its members in the foreground better than anyone else. It is an exciting time for our industry, and I assure you that I will not only bring my knowledge, but also my energy, integrity and passion for the industry to contribute to the strategic direction of the association and its members. "

Jason Hartsell

At the same time, Jason Hartsell was re-elected Treasurer of the ALM Board and will continue to manage the association's financial planning. Hartsell is operations manager at United Hospital Services in Indianapolis and a U.S. Army veteran.

"ALM provides an invaluable resource for the entire laundry industry, from laundry distribution to multi-site executives," said Hartsell. "ALM continues to be a leader in providing information and training to laundry and laundry operations across multiple markets."

Hartsell knows first-hand the benefits of ALM training, as United Hospital Services ensures that customer service staff are trained through the ALM Certified Laundry and Linen Manager program.
