KitKat has given thousands of health care workers more than 250,000 “Thank You” KitKat bars that work tirelessly to provide primary care.
Chris O’Donnell, General Manager of Nestlé Confectionery, said the donation was a gesture of thanks to the men and women who made incredible contributions and personal sacrifices during this critical time.
“Our KitKat brand has been asking people to take a break for a long time – but we know that this is not possible for many at this time. The world is forever grateful to everyone who works in our health system for not taking a break right now.
“The commitment and hard work of our healthcare workers in these difficult conditions have moved us. The strength and resilience they continue to show is humiliating. We also wanted to thank only a small amount and show our support and appreciation. "
The donation to hospital staff follows Nestlé's $ 2 million food donation to Foodbank Australia to help vulnerable members of the community and essential food to a number of vulnerable remote indigenous communities affected by food shortages .
