Community Memorial Health Systems (CMHS), a nonprofit, state-of-the-art regional hospital and health center serving the needs of the greater Ventura, California area, has achieved its Local Laundry (OPL) Hygienically Clean Healthcare certification. This is the first OPL to meet the standards for hygienically clean products since the program began in 2011.
The laundry offers hygienically clean bed linen, robes, scrubs and other clothing for health care for employees and patients of the 242-bed facility. "We are delighted to be among the elite institutions that offer hygienically clean textiles to the patients at our Ventura County hospital," said Gustavo Guzman, laundry manager at CMHS. “We are proud to adhere to the Hygienically Clean Standard, which incorporates the best management practices in the industry for making safe bedding. Our employees also feel more secure and are reassured by the processes we follow and the result-oriented tests of our products. "
"Congratulations to CMHS on this milestone," said Joseph Ricci, President and CEO of TRSA. "Achieving the Hygienically Clean Healthcare certification demonstrates this facility's commitment to infection prevention and that their laundry takes every possible step to prevent human diseases."
