In a statement by the director of Texcare International, Johannes Schmid-Wiedersheim (picture), it says: “In view of the spread of SARS-CoV-2 infections in Europe and after intensive consultations with partners and exhibitors, Messe Frankfurt has decided Texcare International to postpone. We expect to hold the world's leading trade fair for textile care in Frankfurt am Main in November.
“Texcare International in Frankfurt is the highlight of the industry every four years and the participants expect that the exchange of ideas and information with customers and partners from all over the world generates a multitude of new business impulses. Against the background of general decrees banning large events, it cannot currently be assumed that the situation has changed at the time of the event planned for June. Since Texcare is unable to meet expectations when it is held as originally planned, and in particular to prevent you from incurring unnecessary costs, we have decided to postpone the world's leading trade fair. Of course we will inform you about the exact dates as soon as possible.
“The partner associations of Texcare International – the German Association for Dry Cleaning and VDMA Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies – support this decision. We will send you further information in the near future, including details of all important contractual aspects. "
